Two British Transport Police (BTP) officers are under investigation over the handling of two sexual assaults carried out by Simon Levy before he murdered two women and raped a third. The emergency response was launched at around 8.45pm on Monday, August 17, following reports of a large vehicle fire on the A303 near Marsh. Two appliances from Chard Fire Station and a water carrier from Yeovil were initially mobilised. The Met Police said officers were called to reports of a stabbing at 8.19am at an address on Askew Road. Officers attended the scene with the London Ambulance Service. East Midlands Railway said passengers were asked to leave the station, while TfL closed the main and north entrances to King’s CrossSt Pancras Underground station at the request of the Metropolitan Police.
