A man caught with 210 indecent images of children including a video showing a gagged eight-year-old boy crying during sexual abuse has avoided a prison sentence
Connor Sallis, 31, from Bridlington, initially denied knowing about the images and pointed police towards his ex-partner, claiming she had access to his phones.
He later admitted four offences of making indecent images of children after previously denying the charges and being listed for trial.
Hull Crown Court heard that officers seized two mobile phones when they visited his then home in east Hull on January 12, 2021, while investigating another matter.
The devices contained 131 Category A images — the most serious classification — alongside 68 Category B and 11 Category C images.
Prosecutor Maya Hanson told the court that the collection included footage of an eight-year-old boy being sexually abused while gagged and crying.
Officers also discovered a download app and a file-sharing service providing secure access, with an illegal video stored in a folder.
He had a previous conviction involving animal matters from 2016, as well as cautions.
Sallis received a nine-month suspended prison sentence and 20 days of rehabilitation activity.
He was also placed under a five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and must register as a sex offender for 10 years.
