🚨 BREAKING: 153 homes have been evacuated in Weston-super-Mare, after a bomb disposal unit was called to check “suspicious substances and items.”
Avon and Somerset Police arrested a man in his 70s on suspicion of fraud by false representation at a Becket Road address. Officers then found the items.
• A 100-metre cordon covers several streets. A refuge is open at Castle Batch Children’s Centre. Police said they are working with the council to house and update residents while Explosive Ordnance Disposal investigates.
