He was jailed for life after being convicted of murdering nine-year-old Alice da Silva Aguiar, six-year-old Bebe King and seven-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombe during a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in Southport on July 29, 2024.

He was also convicted of attempting to murder eight other children and two adults during the attack.

Rudakubana is now facing four further charges arising from incidents that took place at HMP Belmarsh.

He is accused of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm to a prison officer after throwing boiling water mixed with sugar through his cell door hatch in May 2025.

The court heard prompt medical treatment prevented the officer from suffering any lasting injury.

Two days earlier, he allegedly threatened to soak a female prison officer if she did not pass him a newspaper, before throwing an unknown liquid through the hatch.

Rudakubana is also accused of punching a male prison officer in the face in October 2025, while the officer was attempting to establish whether he had taken his antipsychotic medication.

The fourth charge relates to sharpened stone shards allegedly prised from the floor of his cell. They were found hidden underneath a shelving unit, with the prosecution saying Rudakubana told a prison officer he was keeping them for self-defence.

Rudakubana appeared by video link from Broadmoor secure psychiatric hospital and was not asked to enter pleas. He is next scheduled to appear at the Old Bailey on October 19.
